Galveston Beach Engagement Session -Summer and romance in the midst creates the perfect pairing for planning an engagement photo session. There are many reasons why beach engagement photos can be the excellent location to capture yours. Especially if  you and your groom spend a great deal of time outdoors under the beautiful blue skies, fresh salty air, and the sound of the calming waves. Indeed, it is quite the picturesque setting. But let’s face it… beaches are popular in the summer. So is tourism. Although it could be tricky to navigate, it’s possible to capture the perfect engagement photos at the beach.

Just think about it, the laid back atmosphere and a very relaxed setting provide for the right ambience. Minimal props are needed as the beach is a stunning backdrop with natural sunshine to capture in all your photos. Selecting vibrant colors like seafoam, coral, cerulean, or jasmine adds to the energy and elegance for your look. The intimate feel will be cherished and memorable for many years.

Let’s get to the details for planning on how you can look and feel your best. For the dress, you want to choose a long flowy gown. Lace is a no-no. A short dress will fly up and reveal way too much, and a ballroom gown will not agree with the sand or heat. When choosing your shoes, try an embellished sandal or wedge heels. Both of them make walking in the sand more comfortable.

To be photo ready, your make up foundation needs to be slightly heavier than usual, including more bronzer and blush. Matte is preferable, but keep it natural at the same time. Your hairstyle choice should either be secured in an updo or pinned in a sophisticated bun. One option is to use place fresh flowers in the bun or wear a wreath, instead of the traditional veil. Lavender, lilies, anemones, amaryllis, and bouvardia are in full bloom during the summer.
