Deanna + Ron
Galveston Wedding Photographer – Intimate Yacht Wedding – Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves. This is one of my favorite biblical verses and it is one that is very true with the relationship and love story of Deanna and Ron. When I met Ron and Deanna for a consultation I knew they were different. From the onset Ron was telling jokes and Deanna was laughing at his jokes, as were I. For consultations, I usually allow the couple to tell me a little about themselves and how they met, what drew them to one another, and what they enjoy doing. It was easy to tell that Deanna and Ron loved being around each other and both enjoyed the love they shared. As a semi-newly-wed, I am always opened for some sound marital advice and Deanna and Ron offered the best yet. Ron’s advice “do not make everything so serious… take time to have fun with one another, life is hard enough, so you should spend more time laughing”. I wanted to pretend that wasn’t profound and I’m a firm believer that God brings people in your lives at a specific moment to help keep you on the right course. That night I learned something from this couple, I learned that it’s important to share that unbridled laughter with my wife more often. I probably could do it a lot more, but thanks to Ron, I’m doing it more than I was before I met them.
Quite fitting that their wedding day was fun, intimate and filled with laughter. From the first sight of Ron and Deanna on the wedding day each greeted me with a joke. They shared genuine laughter throughout the exchanging of the vows. They shared their first dance in a complete bliss of laughter. In the face of a day filled with heavy rains, this couple brought true sunshine to a Saturday afternoon. I hope you see what I experienced in their wedding images. Such a joy to capture, I count it as one of my highest privileges as a photographer to have couples who impact me in a way that adds to my life. Two words. Thank You. Sincerely Ed.
