Houston Heights Engagement Photos | Kristen + Chris
November 15th, 2015
Going to the Houston Heights for engagement photos brings some nostalgia as me and my wife took our first set of engagement photos in the Heights. When Kristen and Chris told me the back-story of how Kristen grandparents lived in the Heights for years. How she recalled playing at the park and all the liveliness this historical neighborhood brought to her childhood. It was finish that we drove around and just stopped, as we got inspired, and took full advantage of the backdrops.
I met Kristen & Chris a few months back when they saw some of my work on a Google search. We set up a meeting and it was really good to get to know them. Kristen and Chris met playing trivia, in which Kristen remembers the boys dominating the girls. Not too long after Chris was taking care of Kristen letting her know that her car battery was dying on their first date.
How did he ask? : Chris recalls planned out a romantic getaway at a Vineyard. Kristen had hoped that he would be asking soon, and assumed this getaway may be the perfect time. As the day went by, and he didn’t pop the question, she began to get restless. Finally, under a gazebo, he asked Kristen to share their forever together.
It is moments and stories like these that make me truly appreciate what we do. When you heard stories like these, when the couples genuinely feel like their partners embody everything that they were missing before they met it’s truly joyous. This is the type of love that allows you to dance without music, and we have the pictures to prove it, see below. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next year at The San Luis Resort in Galveston, Texas.
To all the Aggie alums that are reading this, this is the type of love that is sealed by the allure of Century Tree at Texas A&M. Thanks for reading, and enjoys the images. Ed.
thank you so much for these beautiful pictures of my son and my future daughter in law. I am very blessed.
You are very welcome Liz. They were such an amazing couple to photograph. Truly enjoyed every moment of it.
