Houston Warehouse District Engagement – It takes two. Two people who love each other that it shows. Two people who make each other laugh. Two people who complete one another sentences. Two people who allow the other space to be who they uniquely are. Two people who refused to let us reschedule their engagement session because we had a little rain. Denitra and Scott is truly one of a kind, and their kindred spirits were something special to be around. Another thing that made this session extra special was that my blossoming friendship and current lighting assistant Jason came out to keep us company, crack a few jokes, and even hold the umbrella to ensure the couple did not get rained on. Then you add in that my wife with Yvonne Shae Make-Up Artistry did the make-up and this session had a little of everything.
I was terribly afraid that we would get rained out, but that persistence made for such a special session. We started in the Warehouse district downtown, which provided a stark contrast for Scott and Denitra’s ensembles. Denitra jet-black tutu and vivid heels gave the session the extra pop that even a dreary rain filled afternoon could not muzzle. This session was filled with laughter, tons of inside jokes that I amazingly felt apart of. We finished downtown in front of the capital theatre.
I know you came here to see these images. Trust me, I could literally write another two or three paragraphs telling you about how much I enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I’ll cut this short. I’m thoroughly looking forward to working with Denitra on her bridal session, as I know it will be epic because of her sense of style and knack for working the camera. In addition, October cannot get here fast enough for the full wedding! In the words of Bart Scott “Can’t wait!” Thanks for reading, Ed.
Great SHOTS! Second Shots!!
Thanks! Great couples always make the job easy and ensure that we get some true jewels.
