Jacksonville Engagement Session – There is not better feeling as a photographer than to watch a good friend’s relationship blossom from afar. I’ve known Porsha since right after college and I have been silently and verbally cheering on the sideline for this moment. When she told me she met Ishaq I started doing the countdown to the proposal. For a few months every time she called me I assumed it was the proposal phone call. When it finally occurred, I was so ecstatic for them as I knew they make a wonderful couple. So, I set out to Jacksonville to capture some engagement photos!
When presented with the opportunity to fly out to Jacksonville and shoot their engagement session I knew we needed to make it epic. We started out at the beautiful beaches of Ponte Vedra. The sun was unyielding, but the big blue sky created the perfect backdrop for the beginning of the set. We wait until the afternoon/evening to get the soft filter light. We continued our session at the Cummers Art Museum. The Cummers Art Museum was a true beauty and the greenery was a sight to remember. We stopped in the historic Five Points and Riverside section of town for a quick bit to eat at Hawkers. We finished our session walking around downtown Jacksonville.
Porsha and Ishaq will tie the knot in July in St. Augustine at the River House. I cannot wait to photograph their beautiful union! Thank you for reading. Sincerely Ed.
