Katy Wedding Photographer – If I was pinned down and forced to choose one word to describe the city of Katy it would be booming. Katy is quickly growing into a great suburban city but still has a touch of charm. As Katy grows so does the number of venues for those who are tying the knot. Katy has a lot to offer when it comes to weddings and you can go from rustic to chic in a matter of miles. As a Katy Wedding Photographer, I am completely overjoyed by the number of quality venues.
I have had the privilege to photograph weddings at Tuscany Villa, House Plantation, Pecan Springs, Pine Forest Country Club, Noah’s Events Venue, Brook Hollow’s The Church Without Walls and Ashton Gardens. Katy is also home to Palm Grove, Lindsay Lakes, Agave Estates and Cottage Charm. Living in the city puts me a 10-15 mile drive from all of these location and make the wedding day commute minimum.
I’ll share a little about my experience shooting at the following venues and give you a quick synopsis of what they can offer. Each venue is listed in alphabetical order.
Ashton Gardens – This venue provides a very elegant setting brimming with natural light in both their ballroom and enclosed wedding chapel. Ashton Gardens has a middle of the forest feel and provide a fantastic backdrop for formal pictures of the bridesmaid and groomsmen. Fit with marble floors and creaming white walls and ceilings, Ashton Gardens can offer a bride and groom some seriously unique imagery with an elegant flair. There is also an Ashton Gardens North as well, should you find that it is more convenient.
Brookhollow Church Without Walls – The chapel at the Church Without Walls is quite breathe taking. This chapel is very modern, and has very high ceilings and large windows that let in a lot of natural light. This venue needs to be coupled with a reception site, but for those brides willing to have a two-venue event, this venue should be considered.
House Plantation – This is southern charm at it’s finest. House Plantation gives you a ton of options. House Plantation is littered with places to images. The enclosed climate controlled patio is the perfect backdrop for a wedding reception.
Noah’s Event Venue – This venue is tucked away off the feeder road near interstate 10. Noah’s Event is known for it’s modern chic designed fit with chandeliers and hardwood floors. With a full suite for both the bride and groom, Noah’s Events make the wedding day a breeze. Noah’s Event Venue pride themselves on making custom rooms designs for each couple and that freedom can be a true godsend when couples consider how they would like to entertain their guest. There is a Noah’s Event Venue in Sugarland, Texas as well should that work better for a couple.
Pecan Springs – The Springs Venues is a group of venues that look identical from location to location. There are four Spring venues in Houston (Katy, Angleton, Lake Conroe and The Woodlands). Recently Spring venues have offered a second style venue on each of their properties which means that they can serve two brides in one day. No worries each property has tons of space make the logistics a breeze. From Tuscan style building to a barn like building, Pecan Springs is littered with scenic landscapes, ponds and more that are fitting for a rustic bride. If you see boots and burlap in your wedding pallet than Pecan Springs is the perfect venue for you.
Pine Forest Country Club – One of my favorite Katy locations as it is rich with locations to photograph the wedding couple. This venues sits on a golf course is fit with a large grand room with floor the ceiling windows. Pine Forest Country Club has quite the flair for elegance and truly give brides and groom something special for a wedding day.
The Tuscany Villa – Described as old world chic and new world luxury, The Tuscany Villa is a great place for a wedding. The Tuscany Villa can host an indoor and outdoor wedding, reception or both. With a small chapel, courtyard with a water feature, this venue offers flexibility for ceremony location. The reception could be in the courtyard, or inside in the grand room that is complete with 28-foot ceilings.
I love being a Katy Wedding Photographer, and the venues that we have to offer are quite diverse. Thanks for reading. Ed.
