What a couple! What an idea! What execution! When Billie found me on Instagram and sent a message saying that she needed engagement photos and that she wanted to do something unique, I knew this was going to be fun. We started the session mid-day at the food truck graffiti walls in downtown Houston. Billie and OJ sported matching Letterman jackets and channeled their inner Love and Basketball moment. I love how free they were, that they were willing to try anything and more than anything they truly had a genuine connection that can be felt, even from behind the camera.
They were such naturals! All of their posing, all of there laughter made the session so fun and memorable. They genuinely like each other, like really, really like each other and capturing their company was a true joy.
I’d be remiss if I did not tell you about their engagement session wardrobe. From the letterman jackets to the classic black tux and bow-tie, to the Tulle wine colored skirts, to the Game of Throne inspired cape to the soft blue off the shoulder dress. They truly took their fashion to the next level, and I have to say I truly admire this fashionista and her debonair mate.
We moved over to the memorial area and shot the second parts of this luxurious Nigerian Engagement session in a mansion. They went from fun to regal in a matter of seconds and it was truly a bar raising experience. We captured a rooftop shot from the rooftop terrace.
Lastly, we took this couple to the Houston Waterwall, but since it was not working we photographed all of it’s surroundings. I have to say, their roll with the punches attitude truly made for a outstanding session. Thanks for reading. Ed.
