McGovern Gardens + Kim Son Wedding
Katy + Huy
McGovern Garden + Kim Son Wedding – I love being a Houston Wedding Photographer as it affords me the opportunity to photograph many cultural weddings. I count it a true joy to learn about different cultures and wedding customs and marvel at true beauty in multi-cultural events. When Katy and Huy found me and told me about their union to be held at McGoverns Centennial Gardens, I knew that it would be a true treat. I loved getting to learn about the tea ceremony and just sharing all of the Chinese customs and traditions that are held at weddings. It was so awesome to see how involved the parents and families are involved in the union of their children.
Katy and Huy have such an amazing connection. It was evident that their love is built to withstand the test of time. I love how they fit into each other’s space and the look that Huy has for Katy is unequivocal to what most relationships have. Their first look was very emotional and that made for some epic imagery. The only damper on the wedding day was there were a few pockets of rain that moved the ceremony indoors. As soon as the ceremony was over and the threat of rain subsided, were went outside to capture all of the family formals as well as the couples sneak-away moment. Kim Son’s ballroom was the perfect back drop for the family centered reception. It provided the perfect space to end the romantic night! Thanks for reading, Ed.
