Ruth + Lawrence
Nigerian Pre-Wedding Photos – Ruth’s Law. That is the couple’s hashtag. It’s a play on both names, but also so befitting. Ruth and Lawrence are a very sophisticated couple. Their engagement session spanned over a period of two days. To be quite frank, that might not have been enough time to fully capture the essence of their amazing looks.
An engagement photo session provides the opportunity to introduce to others as the soon-to-be married couple. This can make an incredible impact on your future wedding guests when they receive your “Save the Date” announcement.
We started with a studio session and three outfit changes: formal elegant, Africa inspired, and ruby red denim. For the formal look, Ruth wore a tulle pink off-the-shoulder ball gown. The crisscross bodice and floor length train was absolutely gorgeous. Lawrence’s style was fashion forward, wearing a black tuxedo. The paisley print jacket with a shawl lapel and bowtie makes a long lasting impression.
We finished the session near Hermann Park. Over 100 years old, Hermann Park Conservancy can be found at the southern end of the Museum District. With over six million visitors annually, it is one of the most popular places in Houston to shoot photos. The most striking is the reflection pool, which is 80-foot-wide and 740-foot-long. This the key point of Hermann Park, featuring two parallel paths. For this session, we decided on the outdoor theatre that features classical Roman columns and fantastic architectural designs.
When planning for your engagement session, it’s good to choose styles that are distinct and matches your personality. For Ruth, her hairstyle choices were even more notable than her wardrobe choices. From the long curly tresses, African head wraps, and a hair bun with cascading curls. Finally, the style to top all of the others was the natural curly hair with bangs.
This proves nothing is too big or off limits!
