Carmalita & Delano are an adorable couple and I truly enjoy speaking to them on the phone, the consultation and definitely the session. Their love for each other withstood the test of time and separation and I wanted to make sure we had some truly romantic and intimate images to showcase their love.
We started at the Galveston strand then finished up right as the sun was setting on the beach. A Sunday night in Houston Texas at the beginning of August can be quite unbearable. However, for their session it was extremely cool and we had a nice breeze for the entire session. Delano is an engineer and it was vital that we create some images that were heavy architecture and landscape. He’s a photographer as well and focuses primarily on landscape so I knew it was essential to give them some images that were unique. Carmalita, a pharmacist and former biology teacher and professor, has such a sweet spirit and it makes complete sense that Delano wants to be nestled up with her forever. We spent a little time throughout the session talking about our teaching experiences and she even motivated me to look into becoming an adjunct professor. I’m still undecided if I’ll take her up on that suggestion or not.
Next month they will be getting married on the Fanta Sea Yachts at Kemah Boardwalk. As a Galveston Wedding Photographer, this will be my first time shooting at this venue. I know if the wedding is anything like the engagement session it’ll be a total blast! Cheers to the bride and groom to be, I will see you guys next month, I officially can’t wait! I know you came here to see the images, so I won’t hold you from them any longer.
