Houston Arboretum & Botanic Gardens @ Mercer | North Houston Gardens Portraits | Audrea

Mercer Arboretum is slowly becoming my favorite place to do sessions. I really like how there are multiple scenic backgrounds for photography and for the most part it isn’t saturated with insane amounts of traffic. This was the second time that I did a session there and I can see me using this location for family sessions as well as engagement/love sessions.

Today, my muse is no one other than my sister. I’m really happy to take her out during her visit to Houston and give her some updated portraits. I shot her wedding, and this was the first session that I’ve done with her in years. What an awesome experience, and she was a great reminder of how much I’ve grown since shooting her wedding. Loved the experience, can’t wait to do it again hopefully in Atlanta when I come to visit her.

So we started out in my small home studio and got some more business like pictures. Later (that week) we drove out to Mercer Arboretum & Botanic Garden and did some more informal shots.
