Snowy Engagement Photos – Bucket list check! I’ve always wanted to shoot an engagement session in the snow, and Minneapolis did not disappoint. Snowy engagement photos! The weather was sunny and extremely chilly as the temperature was a frigid 4 degrees. I had no complaints, because this was my bucket list session. The only thing that was missing was actual snow fall, but beggars can’t be choosy.
We started at Minnehaha Waterfall, a park that is named after a beautiful stream with falls that plunges 53 feet into a gorge. At the time of our shoot, the waterfalls were frozen. It was a spectacular sight!
Monica looked sensational in a black mermaid silhouette gown with a gorgeous train. Wearing a mink fur jacket with a fur collar kept her look elegant, refined and polished. Jay made a bold style statement wearing all back, with a classic-fit velvet sport coat. The red bow-tie was the perfect pop of color.
Monica and Jay were a blast to work with. Jay spent most of the day telling the Texans (Monica and I) that it really wasn’t that cold. He was saying, compared to last year, the weather was actually warm.
We finished at a coffee shop which was a few blocks away from the huge Mall of America. A coffee shop can be a great place for a photo shoot, since it is such a chic and integral part of American lifestyle. It was refreshing to shoot this stylish couple just hanging out and enjoying each other’s company.
