I met Queeny and Chris through Star Fleet Yachts in Kemah Texas, which is one of the places that I’m a preferred vendor for. Queeny and Chris planned a wonderful wedding and they were keen to pay close attention to the details. It was a humid Friday in July, but we had very beautiful skies after the rain cleared up from earlier that day. I thoroughly enjoy shooting close to the beaches and I remember doing tons of weddings close to beaches in Florida. This was my first cruise wedding, however, I thoroughly look forward to doing more.
July 18th was two days after the bride, Queeny’s birthday and it was only fitting that her and Chris decided to tie the knot on this day. Chris and Queeny met in high school some years back. Their families are close and there are many intertwining friendships. Chris recalls always enjoying Queeny’s company and was elated when they reunited. It was a few years back on Queeny’s birthday that Chris visited her with his family. As Chris told me this story of how we met, the look on Queeny’s face was glowing with excitement.
Last year, on Queeny’s birthday, she came home to a surprise birthday celebration. Chris planned a romantic evening at the house with all their friends and family. As she walked in the door he had stations with cards and notes expressing his love and telling her happy birthday. As she made her rounds she eventually came back to the front entrance where Chris was waiting on one knee with a wedding band.
Some wedding dates are unique and special to the couple. July 18th is the first Friday after Queeny’s birthday and a few days after the anniversary of their engagement.
I could go on and on about how special it was to shoot this union, but I know you’d rather see all their beautiful images.
Love all the touches of Peacock & bright colors. Awesome details! Looks like a super fun wedding 🙂
Thanks Carmen. It was an absolutely fun wedding. The Peacocks & bright colors created a very unique look and made their wedding one of a kind.
