Wedding Photography, in my opinion is a blend of capturing the essence and emotion of the day and mixing in a photographic flair. One image that can help define a photographer’s creativity is the ring shot. It is what’s known as a detail shot, and while this may not be the most important shot of the wedding, it is one of the shots that helps sets the tone of an album, and can allow for a lot of creativity if you have the time. If the shot fails, it will definitely be noticed.
Photography in general is all about the little things and I love to liken it to the analogy of sweeping the corners. That attention to detail is what helps one grow as a photographer, and as I grow, I’m learning to slow down and really hone in on the details. Here are a few rings shots that I’ve taken in the last few months. Enjoy.
Nothing documents a wedding like the bands and a pair of cufflinks.
A woman’s two favorite loves: shoes and diamonds all in one shot.
The Groom’s band needs attention too.
For the wine lovers.
