The Gallery Houston Wedding – This wedding took place at The Gallery, which is a wedding venue located in the prestigious Galleria-area in Houston. With a French Mediterranean architectural style showcases a lovely ivy wall, huge oak trees, and courtyards filled with jasmine flowers are perfect for holding an outdoor wedding ceremony. In addition, the month of December makes for cool wedding weather.
Incorporating your cultural roots into your wedding with traditions can make it exceptional. For Jasmine and Kenneth, it was important to include elements from New Orleans into their special occasion. This could be a brass band parade with guests carrying umbrellas and decorated masks. As tradition would have it, the bride has a white umbrella and the groom carries a black umbrella. The more colorful the celebration, the better. Feathers are a great way to decorate these items too.
This merry couple decided to have a second line parade. The first line involves the wedding party and band, while the second line encourages guests and onlookers to join in the party.
The bride was graceful in a white embroidered and beaded mermaid wedding gown. The elegant back of the dress was sheer with buttons and lace long sleeves. Her hair was pinned on one side with a cascade of curls on the other side. Jasmine’s long veil placed at the midpoint of her head was the perfect finishing touch to accentuate the lines of her dress.
Who said only the bride can wear white at her wedding?!? While it is not proper for your guests to wear any shade of white, there’s no rule that says the groom can’t be in white too. Kenneth wore a single button white tuxedo jacket with a black shawl lapel and black pants to polish his look. You will do a double take when you notice his resemblance to Ghost from the popular television show, Power.
Jasmine and Kenneth was a charming couple to photograph. Their wedding party rocked out some of the best dance moves at the reception. It was so much fun!
