Weekend Recap! I’m going to start a new series where I can share a little more about myself and allow you guys to get to know me a little better. Two to four weeks a month I plan on sharing what I captured throughout the weekend. I’ll post it on Mondays.
Happy Monday! Firstly let me start by saying that every image in this blog was captured using my iPhone 6 Plus. I thought I captured some good images all things considered, but it can’t hold a candle to the 5D Mark III of course.
In any event, two to three times every year I make some road trips to Pensacola to pick them up and drop them off for visitation. Soon they’ll be old enough to ride in the airplane and these trips will dissipate dramatically. Until then, I will try to make the most of these trips and capture the surroundings. Almost every trip to Pensacola can be laced with rain and road construction, which lends itself to some fantastic sunsets and freedom to capture them.
We’ll no wedding images this weekend, but here’s what my trip to Pensacola was like. Enjoy!
(Above) This shot was taken on the open road somewhere in East Texas. Stopped for gas got a chance to step out the car and witness a great sunset. (Below)
(Above) You know you are in Louisiana as soon as you see all these Casino signs! They are literally attached to gas stations and rest stops. I wonder how people keep there money. (Below) The great tunnel in Mobile, Alabama. My boys love going through it because everyone follows tradition and blows their horn in there. We even got a few truckers to hunk at us! The boys enjoy this and asked me to wake them up when we go through it. That’s school age boys for you!
The Bride that is connecting the downtown of Baton Rouge to the rest of the city. There are two major bridges from Texas to Florida and this one has the best looking architecture. I don’t know why, but I always hold the steering wheel a little tighter on bridges, amazing I was able to do that and still capture this images (both below).
Thank you for reading. Look for more! Hope you enjoyed!
This sounds like a pretty series! I look forward to following your adventures.
