KRYSTAL + BILL ENGAGEMENT
Woodlands Waterway Engagement Session – Our engagement session with Krystal and Bill was a uniquely fun experience. First, we began our session at the Woodlands Waterway. This location includes a diverse pallet of water features that are even choreographed with colored lighting and music at night. We photographed near some of the most manicured sections of the strip. I can honestly say if you paid me $100, it would be near impossible to lead you on the same path we took that day.
Having a flirtatious and edgy chemistry, their competitive banter was unlike any other couple that we’ve worked with. The playful jabs from Krystal and Bill added a nice element to the session. As each of them tried to outdo the other on their looks and posing techniques. I hardly gave any directions. It was obvious that they’ve been practicing in the mirror preparing for this moment!
Krystal’s gold sleeveless gown was completely ornate with sequins all throughout. Tossing in a faux fur stole added a fancy flair to her look. For an outdoor session, this bride-to-be made a great decision in her make-up choice to remain in the same gold color family as the dress. Her gorgeous eye makeup and lip color was bold enough to make a glamour statement.
Bill’s two–button tuxedo jacket included a detailed satin trim on the lapel and pockets. Accented with a silk tuxedo vest and bow tie offered a sleek style. The groom-to-be finished his look with a crisp white shirt and white pocket square for a contemporary take on a classic tuxedo.
We finished the session at the historical Texas Southern University. It was such a privilege to photograph on this HBCU campus, particularly in front of the Leonard H.O. Spearman. This state-of-the-art structure both adheres to historic detailing and a modern design. Krystal and Bill bride wore t-shirts representing their respective HBCUs. Even the TSU vs PVAM battle was fun to enjoy!
