Galveston Beach Engagement
Theodora + Kevin
Galveston Beach Engagement -Taking a beach excursion for an engagement photo session can be a real treat. You will have more fun if you can tap into your inner child, because at the beach, expect water and sand! Don’t be afraid to get into it. You only live once. In Houston, we are only 40 minutes from Galveston. Although the jetties near Pleasure Pier can be tons of fun, you can also consider venture a little further down the coastline to get images that are unlike many others. If you prefer the bluest water color, might I suggest a nice trip down to South Padre Island instead!
My first piece of advice is to go bold. Bold colors like teal, sunshine yellow and tangerine will make a statement in your photos. Particularly, rich colors like black, yellow or even red will stand out against the pale blue waters and skies. These daring hues will scream fun and tell a story of their own. Like Theodora, she went passionately bold with her selection of eye makeup and lipstick color. A dark smoky lid with a light wash on the waterline is a great option for a dramatic eye. Pinning your hair up or in a simple style works best for the wind gusts.
Most importantly, you want to coordinate your outfits. Next, either choose to wear a form fitting or flowy dress that can fly in the wind. Theodora wore a dress made of black velvet material with a scoop neck. This long sleeve dress and thigh high split flowed nicely with the beach winds. Because you will probably have a hard time walking in the sand in your stilettos, this bride-to-be wore foot sandals with a toe ring and crystal ankle bracelet as foot jewelry. Kevin jazzed up his ensemble with a solid colored shirt with texture and tone patterns. This printed button cuffed shirt, looked amazing with casual dress pants.
This session was extraordinary! I was able to showcase these beautiful rock formations and breathtaking views that served as the perfect backdrop.
